YouTube's Biggest Moments of 2013, Starring Ryan Higa, Kid President, and Jimmy Fallon

Every year, amazing things happen on YouTube. Well, they happen somewhere else and they're filmed on YouTube, but the company is by far the most-watched broadcaster in the world and – fresh off its first ever YTMA, the YouTube Music Awards – it has recapped its most popular moments from 2013, using its most popular personalities for 2013.

It's all packaged into one 5-minute-plus clip called 'Rewind'.

"To celebrate 2013, we invited some YouTubers to star in a mashup of popular moments this year," the video's writeup reads. "Can you spot all the references?"

The video stars YouTube breakouts like comedians Ryan Higa, Smosh, and Soul Pancake's Kid President, teen beauty guru Bethany Mota, and celebs like Jimmy Fallon and Jimmy Kimmel.

Remixed music includes "Blurred Lines" by Robin Thicke, "Can't Hold Us" by Macklemore, "Get Lucky" by Daft Punk, and "Harlem Shake" by Baauer.

(It also ends with an homage to Jumanji, which I can personally appreciate.)

Released on Tuesday was an interactive timeline of 2013 – titled 'Defining Moments' – to accompany Wednesday's 'Rewind' video:
