Maple Ridge magician Steve Dickson vanished with another award at the Vancouver Magic Circle’s gala this year.

Dickson won the Percy Poole trophy for stage magician of the year.

“This is a great honour,” Dickson says.

“To be judged and voted on by your peers and to come out on top is something I won’t soon forget.”

Dickson has won two other prestigious awards in the past three years.

In 2010, he was crowned the Pacific Coast Association of Magicians champion, and  also won The Magic Circle’s HB MacLean award for close-up magic.

Dickson believes that magic is special – something everyone could use a little more of. He has entertained at weddings, large corporate events and even for Prime Minister Stephen Harper.
