The old time dance series at the Aldergrove OAP Hall have become a huge success.

Held every other Sunday afternoon for the past couple of months, attendance has grown by leaps and bounds.

At the most recent dance, on Nov. 30, there were 71 dancers who turned up and enjoyed the music and good times. The Central Fraser Valley Fiddlers performed at this event, with 17 members volunteering to play, including two young people.

The next dance is on Sunday, Dec. 14, with the Ukrainian Prairie Band set to perform.

The dances run from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday afternoons and admission is a mere $6. Refreshments and light snacks are served to the guests and performers.

The OAP Hall is at the south-west corner of Fraser Highway and 273 Street.

The schedule for the new year, 2014, is as follows:

Jan. 4 - Central Fraser Valley Fiddlers
