Bublé's original manager to publishes memoir
Michael Bublé's original manager, Beverly Delich, who helped guide him towards international stardom has published a book about those years and will be signing copies at an event Saturday, Dec. 7 at 12 p.m. at Black Bond Books in New Westminster.
Delich discovered the Burnaby crooner in a talent contest in 1993 when he was only 18. She became his manager and worked with him in Vancouver before moving with him to Toronto and Los Angeles seeking his big break.
Come Fly With Me: Michael Bublé’s Rise to Stardom, a Memoir, co-authored by New Westminster's Shelley Fralic, is the behind-the-scenes story of those years, when he played small clubs, stage shows and private gigs. It was at one of the latter, performing at the wedding of former prime minister Brian Mulroney's daughter that he was introduced to star producer David Foster. The rest is history.
Black Bond Books is in Royal City Centre, 102-610 Sixth St., New Westminster. For more information on the book signing: 604-528-6226 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
