Open mic night for creative writers
A new writers’ group will host its first open mic night March 21 at Richmond Public Library’s Brighouse branch.
Richmond Writes Out Loud! is a group for creative writers, from novice to experienced, with a focus on sharing creative works via the spoken word. The group, founded by writing students from Douglas College, plans to host similar events each month in Richmond.
Next Thursday’s drop-in open mic night is from 7 to 9 p.m. in the living room at the library. For more information contact organizer Avalon Doyle at richmondwritesoutloud@gmail.com.
