So you want to be in pictures
Ever wanted to make a movie?
Ever wanted to be in one?
The Cowichan-based VI Film and Entertainment Co-operative is poised to create its first movie project and is welcoming new members to participate.
According to VIFEC spokesperson Lynn Hale, the project is currently in the pre-production stage and a filming plan has been developed.
Now what is needed are bodies — particularly actors — to make it happen.
“The movie is a short comedy, described as zany and fun, with lots of opportunities for actors to see themselves on film and for behind-the-scenes supporters to get a taste of what it might be like to work in the movie industry,” she said in a press release.
“The proposal group made up of the movie director, the writer and producers has put their plan before a committee to help make sure everything is well-organized and has received the green light to go ahead with the pre-production phase.”
Anyone interested and enthusiastic about one or more of the many aspects of movie-making is welcome to join. No experience is necessary.
