Richmond Youth Dance Company delivers two shows
The Richmond Youth Dance Company is staging two performances this weekend at Richmond Cultural Centre.
Miyouki Jego is choreographing an interpretation of youth culture's human emotions in a show entitled Omilia, which is the ancient Greek word for conversation in all its forms. The show will include a mix of contemporary and ballet dance styles. All 21 dancers taking part in the show auditioned for the production, which will also feature live music from the Delta Youth Orchestra.
The Richmond Youth Dance Company came together in 2010 at the Richmond Arts Centre.
Performances are Friday, March 8 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, March 9 at 6 p.m. at Richmond Cultural Centre, 7700 Minoru Gate.
Tickets, $7, can be purchased at the cultural centre (604-247-8300) or at the door, if available.
