One More Girl to headline Penticton Peachfest
One of Canada's hottest country music groups will be headlining the 2013 Penticton Peach Festival.
One More Girl, presented by Peters Bros. Paving, will be on the main stage in Okanagan Lake Park on Friday, Aug. 9.
Sisters Britt and Carly McKillip have been performing since they were little girls. In the past three years, they have gained international fame with their cutting-edge performances and signature knockout vocals. Their first album, Big Sky, spawned five singles including When It Ain't Raining which hit No. 1 on Country Music Television.
The duo are from Vancouver, but since signing with Interscope Records in 2011, they have been splitting their time between Los Angeles and Nashville. In 2012, their single Maybe was a country music hit from coast to coast. Their current single Run, Run, Run has just hit the radio.
In 2010, One More Girl opened for Toby Keith in front of a near-capacity crowd at the South Okanagan Events Centre.
"And they were fantastic," said Peach Festival entertainment director, Bill Kolter. "Their vocals and live performance were incredible."
Kolter said thanks to Peters Bros. Paving they are able to bring notable entertainment like One More Girl to Peachfest and keep admission free for everyone.
The 66th annual Penticton Peach Festival is scheduled for Aug. 7 to 11.
