Fans tip their hats to Dean Brody at sold out concert in Penticton
If you were anywhere near the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre on Saturday night you were bound to run into someone with a cowboy hat or boots on.
And, a lot of loyal Dean Brody admirers.
His sold-out show in Penticton was complimented by the amazing pipes on Amanda Wilkinson and Tyler Wilkinson who make up the duo Small Town Pistols. They opened the concert and stuck around after in the foyer to sign autographs and take pictures with fans while the stage was prepped for the Canadian Country Music Association best male artist of the year.
Brody was cued to enter the stage to the sound of a big old truck turning over and revving. The crowd didn't need the prompt to start their engines, as soon as the silhouette of Brody's cowboy hat could be made out those in the front rows jumped to their feet and started cheering — never letting up for the rest of the way either. Brody kicked off his set with the title track of his latest award winning album Dirt, and took the next few songs reaching out to those in the front rows, literally. He stepped off the stage to the barrier submerging himself and his guitar to those in the front, much to the delight of a lot of bright-eyed female Brody fans.
