Char's in Alberni will be groovin'

VoxMan Kyle, the ever-experimenting mad scientist of lyric and groove, is like a multi-dimensional Bobby McFerrin. An impossible multitude of characters take over his voice and body, all the while interjected, interrupted and augmented by deft bouts of beatboxing and scatting.

Yin to VoxMan’s wild yang is Marty Shepard, aka Dad, a bluesy mage and jazzy sage. Together, The Big Mess coaxes audiences down the rabbit hole into a world at once nostalgic and exotic, sultry and sweet.

Check out The Big Mess at Char’s Landing on Argyle Street this Friday, Nov. 30 at 8 p.m. (doors 7 p.m.). Advance tickets $15 (seniors/students $12) at Rollin Art Centre.
