IMAX cycling feature timely for festival
With the Victoria International Cycling Festival happening May 27 to June 12, the National Geographic IMAX Theatre is getting into the spirit early with the presentation of Wired to Win: Surviving the Tour de France, starting this Friday (May 6).
The 45-minute documentary gets the viewer up close and personal with Tour riders, from racing around hairpin turns in the Pyrenees at 100 kilometres per hour to powering up steep inclines in the Alps – with the occasional major crash and dramatic battles thrown in for good measure.
Wired is slated for a limited, six-week run.
