Top left: Two-and-a-half-year-old Ethan John Hunt of Haney came to the B.C. 150th anniversary parade in Fort Langley Saturday dressed in the tartan of the McKenzie clan. The outfit was once worn by a five-year-old who emigrated to Canada from Scotland in the early 1900s. Ethan is wearing a Balmoral cap and carries the St. Andrew’s flag of Scotland; top: a Fort Langley interpreter, dressed in period costume, makes her way along the palisade enclosing the historic fort on Saturday; left: the fort’s saw pit was a popular attraction, especially for young children who helped saw wood the way it was done to build the palisade and the buildings within it.
