For the truth about money, open your eyes

Money is man-made, and the current threat of recession is also man-made. That threat is deliberately caused so that the wealth of the many can be transferred to the richest few. As author and ex-banker Larry Bates has succinctly stated in his writings: "Remember, that in an economic collapse no wealth is lost, it is simply exchanged."

Money is a great man-made invention designed to serve collective mankind; to allow a vast diversity of skills and labors to be exchanged between, and among our vast community of beings. It should always be legally created by government and spent into existence, to keep the good and services to be exchanged flowing through our communities. "Money exists not by nature but by law" Aristotle 325BC

Unfortunately, money has become a commodity in itself to be traded as if it were a real good or service. Some politicians do understand that. Ben Bernanke, Chairman of the Federal Reserve, which is a totally private banking entity and lender to the U.S. government, is pleading with Congress to let them print $700 Billion dollars to bail out the private banks and their gamblers. Thank God there is resistance to his pleadings. If Congress yields to Bernanke's wishes, that added debt goes directly onto the backs of the taxpayers and the stock market gamblers joyfully continue with their non-producing game of making money from money.

To help people understand this game that is being played. Cowichan Citizens Coalition, Eye Opener films are showing three very powerful films on the subject of money. If you come to see these films on October 2 at 7 p.m. in the Duncan United Church Hall, you will leave with a deeper understanding of how it is that good people find it so hard to get ahead or become debt-free. We do this as a service to our community, not to make money but to educate. Admission is free or by donation to help us cover costs.
