The Glen Lake Inn has gone Hollywood.
The Langford hotel was just one of several locations on Vancouver Island selected for an upcoming mini-series Seven Deadly Sins for the Lifetime television network.
The four-hour mini series is being filmed entirely on the Island from mid-July until mid-October.
“We love the location (of Langford). The city is pro-film,” said Ted Bauman, producer of Seven Deadly Sins.
Filming took place at the Glen Lake Inn on Oct. 7. The crew will shoot another day in Langford but Bauman said he's unsure when that will be.
“It’s a drama coming-of-age story set in a small town in California,” Bauman said. “(The characters) are going into their final year of high school and their routine gets disrupted after a new girl comes (to town) from New York.”
Eric Close from Without a Trace, Dreama Walker of Gossip Girl, Leslie Hope of 24 and Rachel Melvin of Days of Our Lives are all working on the project.
The mini-series will be broadcast during the summer of 2010 on the Lifetime Network.
