Chip Run rides in cash to Smithers Cancer Care

Nora Jean David (seated) and her daughter Laine Waterhouse rode in with a cheque to deliver to (L-R) Cindy Cockly, Alice Christensen, and Sheri Klubi at the Bulkley Valley District Hospital on Tuesday.

Christensen, an oncology nurse, graciously accepted the cheque for $4,000 on behalf of the Community Cancer Care Team. The money raised by this month's third annual Chip Run will be used for an ice machine to provide ice to chemotherapy patients.
