Garden plots ideal plants

The Regional District of North Okanagan will host its third garden workshop of the summer today.

The event takes place from 7 to 8 p.m. at  the Xerindipity Demonstration Garden next to the Okanagan Science Centre.

Gordon Hiebert, Element Eco-Design co-owner, will provide an overview of permaculture design and discuss the plants chosen for Xerindipity’s permaculture plot.

He will also discuss how versatile and simple permaculture design is, and how it can be applied to create abundant, organic edible landscapes, localized economies, resilient communities and more.

Registration is not required for the free workshop, but seating is limited.
