Open house at St. Anne's Church July 26

To celebrate 120 years in the area, Oceanside residents and visitors are invited to an open house at St. Anne’s Church, Saturday, July 26 from 2-4:30 p.m. It is located at Church and Wembley Roads in Parksville, behind Wembley Mall.

Activities include pioneer stories about the Despards, Kincades, Bagshaws and others, told in the church by the “Pioneer Players” in period costume. A delicious Victorian Tea will be served by ladies in costume.

For those who cannot attend please note that until September, St. Anne’s Church will be open on Wednesday mornings 10 a.m. to noon, another opportunity to visit the most photographed building in Parksville. A new ramp provides wheel-chair access. Tickets are $12, available Wednesday or Friday, 9-noon, at the church office nearby, at the door or by calling to reserve at 250-248-0310.
