Confederation Park playground gets grand opening July 19

Burnaby city hall will hold the grand opening of the new playground and water play area at Confederation Park (Beta Avenue and Albert Street) on Saturday, July 19 at 10:30 a.m.

The new North Burnaby playground includes a 700-square-metre rubberized surface, a multi-person see-saw, spinner bowls, child-size picnic tables, swing sets, and a climbing rock.

Next to it is a 400-square-metre water play area that opened last summer. It allows kids to play with water using jets, channels, water pumps and weirs.
