West Shore RCMP officers and Langford firefighters gathered en masse at the busy intersection of Veteran’s Memorial Parkway and Goldstream Avenue Sunday after a pickup and a car collided around 2:30 p.m.

A southbound pickup truck towing a vehicle on a trailer was turning left from Veteran’s onto Goldstream when it collided with a silver sedan traveling north on Veteran’s.

The driver of the truck received a ticket for failing to yield, while the occupants of the car were taken to hospital for treatment. Westbound traffic on Goldstream was held up for some time as the scene was cleaned up.
