MILL LAKE CRUISE-IN
The annual Mill Lake Cruise-In takes place Saturday, July 12 from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mill Lake Park. The car show is a fundraiser for the MSA Museum Society and the Abbotsford Arts Council. The event features room for more than 700 cars. Also included are vendors, food, live entertainment, door prizes and a silent auction. Info: msamuseum.ca
Mamba Martial Arts presents a night of 15 kickboxing matches on Friday, July 11 at the Ag-Rec Building in Abbotsford Exhibition Park, 32470 Haida Drive. PEER SUPPORT PICNIC
Abbotsford Peer Support for Seniors hosts a picnic on Wednesday, July 16 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. It takes place at the Bevan shelter at Mill Lake Park. It is open to volunteers and clients, as well as anyone who is interested in finding out more about the group, which is a free service for people 50 years and older who are available to spend time with a senior who may want a visit and encouragement. “Wildlife in the Fraser Valley: Living Responsibly with Wildlife” is presented at two local libraries this month by a WildSafeBC representative. The presentation takes place July 17 and 31 at 2 p.m. at Clearbrook Library (32320 George Ferguson Way) and July 24 at 2 p.m. at Abbotsford Community Library (33355 Bevan Ave.). Learn how to prevent wildlife/human conflicts.
