Erikson's Daylilies hold open house this weekend

Erikson’s Daylily Gardens holds its 13th annual open house on Saturday and Sunday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The gardens will be at peak bloom with over 3,200 daylilies, lilies, hosta, unusual perennials and specimen trees.

Admission is by donation, and again this year proceeds will support the BC Children’s Hospital.  For information and details,  see www.eriksonsdaylilygardens.com or call 604-856-5758.

Other local exhibitors will be on hand including Big Bear Tools, Clayburn Comforts, Buds N Petals and more.  he Aldergrove Daylily Society will be on hand with their Club Tent and fun raffle, with donations from JD Turkey Farm, Krause Berry Farm and Winery, Chaberton Estate Winery, Otter Co-op,  Bonetti Meats, Select Roses, VanDusen Botanical Garden and many more.

Judy Henry, renowned harpist, will be providing light music both days from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and the VanDusen Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer gardening questions.

Visitors should note that these are private hybridizing gardens and there are several guidelines to be adhered to.  The garden is not wheelchair, walker or stroller accessible.

Erikson's Daylilies is located at 24642 51 Ave., off 248 Street.
