The Peninsula Academy of Music Arts and Sidney All Care Residence are teaming up this summer to bring a little more music to Sidney.

Beginning July 9, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. the Summer Acoustic Jam will be led by Peninsula Academy’s Franaine Buchal.

“It is a bigger space than we normally have at PAMA so we are hoping to get more players out,” said Diana English from the Peninsula Academy of Music Arts.

All instruments are welcome for the Summer Jam, said English, and fun pieces of music including jigs and reels and sing-along favourites will be played.

PAMA will also be offering Ukulele for Adult Beginners on the same nights from 6 to 7 p.m.

“There’s no playing experience necessary for the ukulele class, it’s just nice to get everyone out for a fun evening,” said English.

For more information on the classes or to register, call English at the Academy at 778-426-1800.
