Scholarships aren't just for the academically inclined, athletes who work hard are also eligible.

Every year for a number of years, soccer coach Nik Kollias gives Caledonia Senior Secondary money for scholarships for students who play soccer and who are registered with the Terrace Youth Soccer Association.

Last year, seven students received money from this scholarship.

The amount and number of recipients varies from year to year.
