Pool in full season

A cool place to hang out in Lumby is the outdoor swimming pool.

Pool staff begin providing summer programs and lessons Monday.

“We’re very excited to welcome the sun,” said Meghan Ross, co-aquatic co-ordinator.

There are extended times for the morning lane swim (6 to 8:30 a.m.) Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, and the evening public swim daily from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Loonie/toonie swims are Sundays from 1:30 to 4 p.m. and Wednesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m.

Swimming lessons begin Monday, July 14 and July 28.

“We offer all Red Cross swim levels from preschool classes for those seven and under, up to Swim Kids level 10,” sad Ross, adding that there are also adult lessons and fitness classes.

Updates on lessons and programs are posted on the LumbyPool Facebook page and on Twitter at @LumbyPool.
