Free family festival in Burnaby's Central Park on Saturday

A free family festival on Saturday (June 21) will help low income families send their kids to summer camp this summer.

Burnaby Community Services is holding its first Family Fun Festival, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the east end of Central Park, between the Patterson SkyTrain station and Kingsway.

The festival features old fashioned family events like sack and robot races, a magic show, music, balloon twisting, face painting and crafts.

Fraser Amusements will also be there with low-cost rides and games. Proceeds from the $2 tickets for those go to the Burnaby Camping Bureau.
