Local potters took a glazing workshop at the Train Station Pottery studio this weekend and the results were shiny and stunning.

John Shauer taught the class, and there are many more workshops coming up at the studio, home of the Via Rail Train station in Parksville. A Kid’s Pottery class runs from Aug 4-8 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

It costs $50 for the week and includes all supplies. There are also adult classes and the studio is open for birthday parties and other events.

The Train Station Pottery shop is open daily and is filled with the recent works of the Arrowmsmith Potters’ Guild.

Visit the shop Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 4 p.m.

For more information call 250-954-1872 or visit the Arrowmsmith Potters’ Guild website www.arrowsmithpottersguild.bc.ca.
