Day Camps available at community centre

The Penticton Community Centre will be offering another Day Camp for school children 6 to12 years on June 6.

The Day Camp will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., and full-day activities organized by Day Camp leaders include swimming, games, crafts, sports and outdoor fun. The cost is $27 per child.

Before- and after-camp care will be provided for parents needing flexible schedules. Before Keeners (8 to 9 a.m.) and After Camp Keeners (4 to 5 p.m.) are available for $5 per session.

There is limited space available, so please register ASAP.

There are options for teens (13 to 18 years) as well with youth drop-in gym time from 8:30 to11:30 a.m. or 2:45 to 4:45 p.m. for $4 per person. Half of the gymnasium will be available for drop-in gym time for youth to shoot hoops or start up an informal game.

Public swimming is another option, with the pools open all day from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Water features including the waterslide will be open 10 a.m. to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. Regular admission rates apply ($4 per child, $5 per youth). Please note, all children under the age of seven, and any child aged seven to 11 years unable to swim the length of the leisure pool (approximately 20 metres), must be accompanied in the water by, and within arm's reach of, a responsible individual 16 years or older.
