Run to help homeless on May 31

The trails around Deer Lake park are some of the prettiest in Burnaby. On May 31, they can be enjoyed while also raising money for the Burnaby Task Force on Homelessness.

The annual Save-On Foods Deer Lake 5km run/walk is a chance for runners and walkers of all abilities to commune with nature in the middle of the city and help those who don't have a place to call home.

The event begins at 8:30 a.m. in the parking lot off Sperling Avenue.

Registration is capped at 300 and can be completed by going to the Calendar of Events under the Things to Do tab at www.burnaby.ca
