Applications still being accepted for Agassiz farm market

In a months’ time, the fifth season of the Agassiz Farm Fresh Market season will be starting.

Each year the market has grown and this year is no exception with new and many of the fabulous vendors returning. A variety of vendors will be selling their fresh produce, pies, bread, chicken, eggs, pork, baking, jam, berries, jewelry, sewing, crafts, plants and body care products to name just a portion of some of the product available.

We also encourage junior vendors to set up for business. The parking lot of the Agassiz-Harrison Museum will host the market every Thursday afternoon starting June 5. The market runs from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. right through until Sept. 11. On July 1, we will host a market as part of the Canada Day festivities in Agassiz and we will once again end of the season at the Agassiz Fall Fair.

The market will continue to follow the philosophy of “Make it, Bake it, Grow it” and welcomes and encourages all locals to join as a vendor or as a shopper. Vendor packages can be download off the website, www.agassizfarmsmarket.com.

You can either join for the whole season or pick what days work best for you. Phone the market coordinator, Judy, at 604-796-3545 for delivery of a vendor package or get answers to any questions you may have.

Buskers are welcome to join the market. Give Judy a phone call if you are interested in attending a market or if you know of some great up and coming talent that would benefit the performer and the market.

This season of the Agassiz Farm Fresh market looks like it is shaping up to be a successful one.
