Burnaby RCMP will be focused on educating people on risky driver behaviour as part of Canada Road Safety Week, May 13 to 19.

“Here in Burnaby there have been 45 fatalities and serious injury collisions in the last five years where the primary causes have been impaired driving, distracted driving, other aggressive driving behaviours and/or a failure to wear a seatbelt," said Sgt. David Bell of the Burnaby RCMP Traffic Services Section.

“The deaths, pain and emotional trauma resulting from collisions caused by careless and thoughtless drivers is preventable."
