Hike for Hospice set to go Sunday

The third annual Hike for Hospice is set for Sunday (May 4).

Beginning at Fisherman’s Wharf Park, the scenic 3.5-kilometre loop will go from the Inner Harbour to the ocean in support of Victoria Hospice.

All funds raised this year will be used to support Hospice’s palliative response team.

The PRT provides around the clock short-term crisis support for people who are dying at home.

On any given day, more than 400 patients are registered with Hospice.

Last year’s Hike for Hospice raised more than $38,000. This year’s fundraising goal is $50,000.

Registration starts Sunday at 9 a.m. and the hike begins at 10 a.m.
