The Mission City Farmers Market opens May 3.

It runs every Saturday until Thanksgiving from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Mission Community Library on Second Avenue.

Make the market part of your Saturday morning routine. Support the local economy by purchasing farm-fresh produce, naturally raised meat, eggs, honey, baking, preserves, plants, soap, crafts and more directly from the people who make, bake or grow it.

This Saturday, pick up some authentic Indian butter chicken sauce and samosas or try some homemade Mexican tortillas. Meet your neighbours in the Heart of the Market for face-painting, storytelling, and free craft-making with Syliva from the Family Place or listen to some live music and enjoy a cup of coffee and a snack. Visit missioncityfarmersmarket.com or call 604-302-5561 for more information.
