Neighbourhood small grants program seeks applicants

Burnaby Neighbourhood House is taking applications for the Vancouver Foundation's neighbourhood small grants program. The deadline is April 7.

Grants range from $50 to $1,000 for ideas carried out by local residents that help bring people together and build communities.

The goals of the program include connecting and engaging residents, sharing residents' skills and knowledge within the community, building a sense of ownership and pride and respecting and celebrating diversity.

In previous years, Burnaby small grant projects have included block or alley parties, quilting groups, multicultural dinners, art projects and community gardens.

To apply contact Burnaby Neighbourhood House at 604-431-0400. Info: vancouverfoundation.ca/nsg.
