Sidney artist Maryanne Tomashewski is making a big impression at the Small Expressions art show this month.

She recently moved to the Peninsula from Mississauga, Ontario and has spent much of her life painting. These days, she said, she’s mainly working in acrylics.

To get her work seen in her new community, Tomashewski has entered some of her work in the Small Expressions art show, being put on by the Community Arts Council of the Saanich Peninsula.

The show is on until March 30 in the Arts Council’s Tulista Park Gallery in Sidney. Doors are open between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. every day except Monday. The art is for sale and is priced for nearly everyone.
