Members of the public are invited to review the draft map of the best routes for walking and cycling in Vernon.

There will be a session March 12 at 6:30 p.m. at East Hill Community Church, 3605 12th St.

“This  was a follow-up to the healthy communities workshop held in the fall,” said Amanda Watson, the city’s municipal transportation engineer.

“City staff created the draft using input from community stakeholders from that workshop as well as official community plan public input sessions, stakeholder group sessions and the city’s pedestrian and bike master plan sessions.”

To attend the March 12 session, RSVP to csbreception@vernon.ca or call 250-550-3634 by Monday.

The project is co-funded by the City of Vernon and the Healthy Communities Capacity Fund, a partnership between B.C. Healthy Communities Society and Healthy Families B.C.
