The Abbotsford Youth Commission (AYC) will host a rally on Pink Shirt Day on Wednesday, Feb. 26 to promote bullying awareness.

AYC staff, youth, university students and the public will stand together to recognize the seriousness of this issue in the community, said Bev Olfert, AYC's executive director.

"The concept of Pink Shirt Day is a good one, and at the AYC we want to make sure that we keep the spirit of the initiative alive by focusing on preventing bullying through teaching and modeling the values of respect and courage all year long," Olfert said.

All ages are welcome to put on their pink shirts and rally with AYC. The rally will be held at the AYC Youth Centre at the Abbotsford Recreation Centre, 2499 McMillan Rd., starting at 3:30 pm.
