Burnaby seeks nominations for Kushiro Cup

Burnaby city hall is calling for nominations for its annual award for outstanding citizen of the year.

The winner receives the Kushiro Cup, named after Burnaby's sister city which has a similar award called the Burnaby Cup.

To be eligible, nominees must live in Burnaby and have done volunteer work for the city in cultural, recreational or other non-elected civic activities. The winner is chosen by Burnaby city council.

The nomination must include the candidate's resume and the names and telephone numbers of the nominators sent to the Clerk’s Office, 4949 Canada Way, Burnaby, B.C. V5G 1M2, by email to clerks@burnaby.ca or by fax to 604-294-7537.

Deadline for nominations is 4:45 p.m. on Monday, March 3.
