Time is ticking for anyone interested in driving away a winner in one Sick Civic.

The Sick Civic contest, which will see one lucky person drive away with a tricked out 2003 Honda Civic worth $25,000, will culminate with one lucky contestant Feb. 15.

That’s when the winner will be announced – during Vernon Winter Carnival’s Family Day activities from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Polson Park.

“It’s going to be a very exciting day on Feb. 15 when we finally give it away,” said Pat Loehndorf, Bannister Honda general manager, adding there will also be some sick secondary prizes being given away.

Honda has teamed up with The Morning Star and Sun FM to give away the sick ride through the online contest. There is still time to enter by visiting vernonmorningstar.com (click on the contests tab in the top right corner).

There, you can enter and preview questions, which contestants must enter to qualify. Answers to the questions can be found at bannisterhonda.com.

Contestants can also check out the grand prize around town at sponsor locations over the next couple weeks.

The Sick Civic will be at Autosound Plus today and Thursday, Bannister Honda Friday, the Vernon Winter Carnival parade Saturday (returning to Bannister Honda after parade), Sun FM Feb. 11 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Bannister GM Feb. 12 to 14.

So far, the contest has produced a lot of interest.

“It’s not only met our expectations but exceeded them,” said Loehndorf.
