Randy ‘Elvis’ Friskie is bring his show — and his family — to town this weekend.

Friskie’s latest show, dubbed the That’s the Way It Is tour, also features his daughter Cassandra performing tributes to Cher, Marilyn Monroe, Liza Minnelli and the many ladies of Country including Patsy Cline, Dolly Parton and Shania twain.

“She was a natural performer from the time she could talk and play,” said Friskie.

The show is designed to feature hits from Elvis’ movies along with Cassandra’s tributes.

“We had received so many requests for movie songs and hearing people state that they remember certain songs from many of the different Elvis movies. So we have put together a show featuring the hits from Elvis’ movies so people can relive the excitement,” said Friskie.

“I’m looking forward to performing in Sidney. It’s always a good crowd and the Charlie White Theatre is a great venue.”

Normally, Friskie does two shows in Sidney but this time he and his band only had time to do one which he expects will be well-attended.

“It’s just a great show with great music and entertainment and our band is second-to-none. They are just a great group of really talented guys,” he said.

The show takes places this Sunday, Jan. 19 at 7 p.m. at the Charlie White Theatre. Tickets can be purchased online at www.marywinspear.ca or over the phone by calling 250-656-0275.
