'Tis the season for Christmas tree chipping

• Seaquam Secondary School is holding a Christmas tree chipping event on Jan. 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 11584 Lyon Rd. Minimum donation is $5 for Seaquam basketball. Pick-up available upon request at 778-228-7799.

• 3rd Cloverdale Scouts are hosting their annual tree chipping event on Jan. 4 and 5 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Art Knapps Plantland, 4391 King George Blvd. By donation.

• The Delta Scottsdale Lions are holding their 22nd-annual Christmas Tree chipping on Jan 4 and 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the parking lot of Sungod Arena. Donations will go towards a $16,000 donation to the CHILD Development Centre, a Mac computer for the senior centre at Delta Hospital and North Delta high school scholarships. • Emmanuel Covenant Church Family's annual Christmas tree chipping and bottle drive is Jan. 4 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Jan. 5 from 1-4 p.m. at Emmanuel Convenant Church, 17029 16 Ave. Join us for some hot chocolate and warm conversation. Chipping by donation to benefit church youth. Non-perishable food items will be donated to the local food bank.
