TERRACE Christmas events continued last night when Ecole Mountainview students staged "Santa Goes Green" before a full house at the REM Lee Theatre.

Traditional red coloured costumes were even replaced with green ones to emphasize the environmentally friendly theme.

There was even hope for expressed for fruitcake when one song highlighted the ability to recycle the product year after year.

It's the turn tonight, Dec. 13, of Thornhill Elementary School students when they perform "Christmas Around the World," a musical which outlines the variety of ways December holidays are celebrated across the globe.

And as Christmas nears, the Salvation Army kettle campaign continues with volunteers collecting donations at various places around town, including major stores and the provincial government liquor store.

People out and about the next few Sundays might even notice Canada Post vans making the rounds. That's to help ensure Christmas parcels get to where they are headed.
