Central student wins poster contest

Burnaby Central secondary student Amy Lin has won first prize for high schools in the National Forest Week poster contest.

Lin, a Grade 11 student, was up against more than 200 entries from across Canada. Her prize is $50.

Amazingly, the project for the contest was her first attempt at art, after joining the school's art club working under teacher Anto Steko.
