Learn about positive parent-child relationships
Richmond Public Library will be hosting the program “Building on Strengths in Multicultural Families” on Nov. 6 at the Brighouse branch.
Program presenter Tina Lee is a mental health and addictions clinician with Vancouver Coastal Health. This presentation will look at how to create positive parent-child relationships and raise successful children in Canada.
“We will look at the distance and conflicts that can arise between immigrant parents and their children and explain how families can bridge this distance to create greater understanding and relationships,” Lee said.
The program will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Brighouse branch in the 2nd floor community place, 7700 Minoru Gate. To register, visit any branch of Richmond Public Library, call 604-231-6413 or register online at www.yourlibrary.ca/progs. This program is free and offered in English. It is supplemented with translations in Chinese, Korean and other languages.
