Old and new at Fort Langley farm museum on Labour Day
That is the theme of the annual “Old and New Day” at the BC Farm Museum in Fort Langley on Monday, Sept. 2.
The museum at 9131 King St. will display old and new tractors, trucks, phones, cameras, books, lamps and many other items to demonstrate how things have changed over the past 100 years.
The Farm Museum will have many of their small and large engines running and the Antique Small Engine Club will be on site with their display of working engines.
Visitors can see the old Tomato Sorter in action, watch an old egg grader in action and help make a length of rope using the antique rope maker.
Volunteers will be cooking and selling fresh corn-on-the-cob and the Tim Hortons Community Cruiser will be on site from 11 a.m to 1 p.m.
Activities get underway at 10 a.m. and continue until 3 p.m.
Admission that day is by donation only.
