Charity gain from Women’s Show

We were pleased to work with the Kootenay Advertiser on the annual Women’s Show at St. Eugene’s resort. As the charity of choice we were happy to receive $2,600 from the door entrance proceeds. We were also very pleased to have presented $600 to the Keeler family fundraiser. This money was raised from a donation basket draw.
Abreast in the Rockies Dragon Boat Team began in 2006 and is a non-profit society with the mission to promote breast cancer awareness, to support local breast cancer projects (digital mammography campaign, sentinal node probe, improvements to the oncology unit in the EKRH), to demonstrate that women living with breast cancer can lead full and active lives, and to make improvements to our equipment and training.
