Cops for Cancer Cup raises $1,800

The second annual Cops for Cancer Cup hockey game between the New Westminster Salmonbellies and the New Westminster Police Department raised $1,800.
The Salmonbellies busted out in the third period to defeat the NWPD Blues 10-3 at Queen's Park Arena Wednesday evening. The Blues went into the final frame trailing 4-2 but couldn't contain the senior lacrosse squad in the end.
Const. Jaspaul Chung and Const. David Lemire will represent the force on this year's Cops for Cancer Tour de Coast, a 900-km bicycle ride Sept. 18-26. They'll pedal the Sea-to-Sky corridor, the Sunshine Coast, the North Shore and through Greater Vancouver, including a stop in New Westminster.
