De Jong honoured by Rotary Club of Abbotsford

The Rotary Club of Abbotsford honoured Michael de Jong as a Paul Harris Fellow on Tuesday afternoon.
The Harris accolade is one of Rotary's most prestigious, and the local club made a donation to the Rotary Foundation in de Jong's name. The foundation carries out humanitarian and educational initiatives around the world.
"Knowing as I do the history of Rotary and the history of the Paul Harris Fellow, I'm humbled and honoured," de Jong said.
De Jong, the Abbotsford West MLA, has served five terms in the provincial legislature. He's held multiple cabinet positions, including his current post as finance minister.
