Conference to help leaders SOAR above the rest

SOAR above the Rest - Leadership Insight event will bring together executive leaders and non-profit workers for a day of candid and inspiring learning – focusing on strengthening relationships, identifying opportunities, solidifying aspirations and creating positive results and outcomes.

The event will feature a keynote speech by Abbotsford fire chief Don Beer, and a media panel featuring Andrew Franklin, publisher of the Abbotsford News, and Melanie Green, operations and sales manager at Rogers Media Communications. The panel will be mediated by Shirley Wilson of the Fraser Valley Child Development Centre. There will be a presentation on corporate partnerships and government relations by Susan Byrom, manager of community investment at First West Credit Union, and a presentation on charities and non-profits by Margaret Mason, who provides counsel to not-for-profit organizations.

The event costs $75 and will be held April 12th at Sweet Dreams Luxury Inn on King Road. It begins at 8:30 a.m. and runs until 2 p.m.
