Science fair awards best student projects
A VARIETY of projects topped the Northern Science and Innovation Society Science Fair.
Best in Fair and the gold medal for Grades 6-7 went to Megan Geeraert and Kalea Raposo for their project Acid Rain.
Owen Block won gold for Grades 4-5 for Science of Survival. Silver went to Mia and Kiarra for Apple of My Eye.
Sydney Webb won bronze for Egg Credible Crack and Scramble.
Honourable mention for Grades 4-5 went to Nolan Knox for Hampsters.
Gold for Grades 2-3 went to Joey Pouladi for Tricking Your Tastebuds.
Silver was won by A. Sullivan and Ben Franco for Fruit and Veggie Powered Calculator. A bronze medal went to Finn Ignas for Battery Cents. Honourable mention went to Bryn Wolfe for Solar System.
Gold in K-Grade 1 went to Emily Pouladi for Is my Dog Smarter than my Brother? Silver went to Jamie Casey for Electricity – the Power Maker. Next up is The Pacific Northwest Regional Science Fair at NWCC April 5 and 6.
