When Finning (Canada), the world’s largest Caterpillar equipment dealer put out a corporate sales challenge, Region 1 branches Surrey, Kamloops, Vancouver Island, Vernon, Williams Lake, Cranbrook and Castlegar, Peter Miller, Branch Manager for Cranbrook/Castlegar, Tony Peters, Bill Lusted Customer Account Managers and their teams meet the challenge head on.

For the fiscal year 2012, Finning’s Territory goal was to sell 3,000 pieces of heavy duty equipment to any sector that support construction, forestry, mining or logging industry. The Territory was then divided into 4 main Regions.   If the branches within their region reached a pre-determined goal then a variety of provincial charities would also benefit from the efforts of the Finning sales group.

One such charity is East Kootenay Foundation for Health who this past week received an amazing gift of $5,833 from the Cranbrook outlet.

“We wish to thank all our customers who supported this sales challenge, that trust helped the Finning Cranbrook branch to support health care locally and we are proud to dedicate our funds to needs at the regional hospital’s intensive care unit,” shares Peter Miller, Branch Manager for Cranbrook/Castlegar.

Donna Grainger, Executive Director for East Kootenay Foundation for Health explains, “EKFH is gratefully holding these funds in trust as further details on a proposed new ICU for the East Kootenay Regional Hospital are considered.    Congratulations to Finning Cranbrook as a branch within Region 1 of exceeding their target and for choosing health care to benefit from their generosity.”
